Food and Beverage

Full-body shrink sleeves for water, juice, soft drinks, energy drinks, and dairy products.

Food and Beverage

In beverage and food packaging, converters print shrink sleeves on PETG film: its high transverse shrinkage (TD ≥75%, up to ≥80% for deeply contoured bottles) lets the finished sleeve conform to bottles, cans, jars, and cups of almost any profile, and its optical clarity (haze ≤7.0%, transmittance ≥90% on Clear PETG) keeps the printed 360-degree graphics crisp on shelf.

The sleeve is applied to the outside of a filled, sealed container, so the film never contacts the food or drink itself. For light-sensitive dairy, White PETG (transmittance ≤30%) blocks light while carrying full-body branding; CPET (RIC 1) keeps a PET bottle recyclable with the sleeve on; GRS-certified RPET adds verified recycled content.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much shrinkage do I need for beverage bottles?
It depends on container shape. Straight-wall water and soda bottles need only moderate transverse shrink (TD ≥65-75%). Deeply waisted bottles or full cap-to-base sleeves need TD ≥80% so the film seats without wrinkling. Send your bottle profile or a physical sample and we will recommend the right film.
Does the shrink sleeve contact the food or drink inside?
No. A shrink sleeve is applied to the outside of an already-filled, sealed bottle, can, or cup, so the film decorates the container exterior and does not contact the product itself. Our PETG film is halogen-free and certified to GRS, REACH, and RoHS for supply-chain and chemical compliance.
Can one film handle both clear and dairy applications?
No single grade is ideal for both. Clear PETG (haze ≤7.0%, transmittance ≥90%) suits transparent beverages and full-graphic sleeves. Dairy and light-sensitive drinks need White PETG (transmittance ≤30%) to block light and protect the contents. Many beverage converters stock both grades and switch by job.
What roll widths and thicknesses do you supply for sleeving lines?
All beverage grades ship in thicknesses of 30-60 μm and widths of 200-2000 mm, slit to your layflat requirement. Thinner gauges lower cost per thousand sleeves at equal coverage. Minimum order is 1-3 tons depending on grade, width, and color.
