RPET Shrink Film
RPET shrink film is a heat-shrinkable plastic film made from recycled PETG resin, certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
Its key advantages include customizable recycled content (30%, 50%, or higher per order), virgin-equivalent performance, and full PET-stream recyclability.
It can shrink up to more than 75% in the transverse direction — identical performance to virgin PETG.
Common applications include sustainable beverage labels, cosmetic packaging, food containers, and brand owners with ESG / carbon-reduction targets requiring GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified materials.

Shrinkage Curve (Temperature vs. Shrinkage %)
Curve represents our typical RPET Shrink Film behavior in a 10-second water bath (ASTM D 1204).
Actual shrinkage depends on film thickness, exposure time, and tunnel conditions — request a batch-specific test report for production planning.
RPET Shrink Film Applications
RPET shrink film is used by sustainability-driven brands across food and beverage, cosmetics and personal care, pharmaceutical, household products, electronics, automotive, and more. Typical applications include full-body shrink sleeve labels, tamper-evident bands, and 360° branding on bottles, jars, and containers — all with GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled content supporting ESG and carbon-reduction goals.
GRS Certified Shrink Film: Scope Certificate vs. Transaction Certificate
Our RPET shrink film carries 30%, 50%, or higher post-consumer recycled content, verified under the Global Recycled Standard’s chain-of-custody audit — and every shipment can be backed by a Transaction Certificate that ties the delivered rolls to that audited supply chain. For a brand owner, this certificate chain is what turns “GRS certified shrink film” from a claim into proof you can put on pack.
Two certificate types do two different jobs, and buyers should not confuse them:
| Certificate | What it proves | Issued by | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scope Certificate (SC) | The producing site is GRS-certified for the listed products and processes | An accredited third-party certification body | Valid for a stated period; confirms the supplier is in the program |
| Transaction Certificate (TC) | A specific shipment contains the claimed GRS recycled content | The same certification body, per shipment | Tied to your order volume |
A three-step check closes the loop before you buy: (1) ask for the supplier’s current Scope Certificate and verify the product scope and validity date; (2) confirm the recycled-content percentage you ordered — 30%, 50%, or higher — falls inside that scope; (3) request a Transaction Certificate against your shipment so the chain of custody reaches your goods, not just the factory. Without a TC, an SC alone does not substantiate a claim on your specific rolls. See our recyclable CPET mono-material film, or request a GRS Transaction Certificate for your order.
Recycled Content vs. Mono-Material: Two Different Goals
Our RPET and CPET films answer two different sustainability goals. Where a package must stay in a single PET recycling stream, the canonical mono-material choice is our CPET mono-material sleeve film, which shares the bottle’s RIC 1 code. RPET’s role is complementary: it lowers the virgin-plastic footprint of that same PET family by building in 30–50%+ GRS-certified recycled content, with virgin-equivalent shrink performance (TD ≥ 75%, ASTM D 1204).
